KF Blank Flange
Features
KF flanges come in various sizes, commonly ranging from 10 mm to 160 mm in diameter, allowing for flexibility in different applications.
KF flanges use an elastomer O-ring to create a vacuum-tight seal. The O-ring is placed in a groove on the flange, and when the flanges are clamped together, the O-ring is compressed to form a seal.
Application
ISO-KF fttings can be used in a wide variety of aplications including:
●Roughing and foreline plumbing
●Small systems
●Systems requiring frequent cleaning or modification
●Research and teaching laboratories
ISO-KF components are primarily designed for use at subatmospheric pressure.
Because of the large number of elastomer seals used.
Vacuum range
Elastomer seal: >= 1 x 10-8 Torr
Installation
The ISO-KF components are assembled by inserting a centering ring between the two flange faces, then securing the assembly with a flange encompassing clamp.
