Food Grade Sanitary Stainless Steel Reducing Tee
Features
Food grade sanitary stainless steel reducing tees are designed around a core principle: ensuring contamination-free and easy-to-clean operation. The key parameters and requirements are as follows:
Applicable standards: International standards include DIN, SMS, 3A, ISO, IDF, BS, BPE, etc. The corresponding Chinese national standard is GB/T 21472-2008.
Materials: Grades SUS304 / 304L / 316 / 316L stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature/pressure tolerance.
Surface finish: The inner surface is mechanically polished to Ra ≤ 0.4–0.8μm; some high-end processes achieve Ra ≤ 0.28μm or even 0.2μm. The outer surface has a mirror (BA) or matte (2B) finish with Ra ≤ 0.8μm.
Key features: Seamless or Welded , dead-leg free design eliminates residue traps. Easy to clean, suitable for CIP (Clean-in-Place) and SIP (Sterilize-in-Place). The reducing design ensures smooth transition between different pipe diameters, reducing turbulence and dead leg risks. High durability, resistant to high pressure and a wide temperature range.
Application
Main application areas:
- Food and pharmaceutical: Dairy, beer, beverage, and pharmaceutical production lines (e.g., CIP systems, mixing tanks) and piping systems.
- Fine chemicals / biotechnology: Cosmetics production and high-cleanliness environments for bioengineering.
- Pure water systems: Water for injection, purified water, and high-purity media transfer systems.
