The Tank Pressure and Vacuum Relief Valve/Vent is engineered to ensure the safe operation of stainless steel tanks. On the pressure side, the valve remains closed under normal conditions; however, when the tank's internal pressure surpasses the valve's rated threshold, the valve activates and releases air to the atmosphere. Conversely, on the vacuum side, with the valve typically closed, the presence of a vacuum within the tank triggers the vacuum piston to open, allowing air to be drawn into the tank. This action maintains equilibrium between the internal and external pressures of the tank.
